Imagine, marching in groups of people, 100’s thousands, down streets of every major city in this Nation, with this song blaring from a float. And People DO NOT FALL for the “Economic Stimulus” package !! – This style of “fixing our economy” , all 800 300 bucks is, or would be, is borrowing like a pay day loan ON your future tax refund. You will owe the IRS, if your refund would have been less than 800$ THEY took away the FOOD STAMPS and EXTENDING UNEMPLOYMENT. This kind of quick fix does not WORK – it is typical Neo Con/lib shock doctrine economics, realise they could stimulate the economy by flushing social safety net programs with this money. Homeless shelters, food banks, public low income housing, a national rent control law, LOWER GAS PRICES, There are a million and one ways to fix our economy for the longer term without a quick cheap fix that few people REALLY fully understand. Its time these politicians, looked at more than Milton Friedman for economic policies. We need forward thinking humane legislation that designed to help the working poor in the longer term, not this wacky shit they try to pull , while our economy IS TANKING.
Things may ajust on the World Bank level , but right here, right now , We the people Need to start a Petition calling for Speaker Pelosi to be Impeached. She has sold out the people by going along to get along. Shame on her ! Shame on the Congress !
Why fix our economy?

Is this the world you want? A life sentence of working for the man so you can get green paper with dead presidents on it? So you can trade your meaningless paper for meaningless shit as well as life’s necessities?
A better world is possible, if we want it. Eyes wide open, smash authority and scatter the ashes of the idols to the wind. Lets make a world where love, compassion and community are the currencies, and where people work to help their neighbors, not get over on them.

Well …why fix it ? …because its there, thats why …lol. People are paying taxes they need roofs over their heads, they got kids to feed, elderly parents to care for, we need a co operative society..get that pie divied up better, “NOT made Higher” and yeah nothing is trickling down..or else these crazy quick fixes would not even be necessary..think about it. These maniacs believe in trickle down economics..and are having to “unplug the faucets” now for the third time..its insane. Count me in on the change, and i will suffer for it, because things WILL NOT go on like this for much longer..its physics something is gonna blow.

She is freakin criminal Christopher her rationales , and her give ins to the Neo’s have shown her true colors. Well as we know she showed right after that gavel hit the desk, the minute she took the Speaker position. Her inability or unwillingness to remember that there are more than her rich constituency in SF that she represents..is criminal. The political ramifications are criminal as well, crimes against the Constitution is allowing the LAW not to apply to the excutive branch. ie blow off contempt of congress charges. She is setting a precident, that puts her right up there, with them. She is THEM in sheeps clothing. There is NOTHING POPULIST about HER.
The way to get Pelosi out is to support Cindy Sheehan’s campaign to replace Pelosi in Congress.
The economic stimulus thing has never worked, and it predates NeoCon & ‘libs’ too. The last one that DID work was the New Deal of FDR. There’s a big difference now, though. They didn’t have a gigantic deficit in the 36 or 37. The government HAD money to put into building schools, roads, homes, food banks, and good social services., etc. It’s so much more complicated now – and it’s even more about not taxing the rich or the corporations.
To me, there is so much influencing the world economy now that impeaching anybody at this time is too late or useless anyway. So if you live in S.F., you can vote next week for Cindy S. Not much I can do about it.
I do my thing by how & why I use my money and also – not using it as much as possible.
There are ways, multiple paths to let these traitors to the constitution know we are not pleased. And we truly need to embrace all the gears of change , each as we are able to, for sure. One thing is true more people , truly more tuned out people are tuning in and wising up. People who once thought , politics were hopeless, or boring are truly when they get to the check out counter , FINALLY realizing that they had better pay a bit more attention. At least that is what i sense, from anecdotal stories from friends across the country, suddenly its not just the town cryers talking in the grocery aisles ITS everyone , from all walks of life, having mini meetings in the meat dept. That is a good sign,strangers coming together chatting, talking about the government. Its not just the “moonbats” anymore,far from it. This is crossing party lines, economic status…EVERYONE and its growing.
I’ve been thinking of returning my “rebate” with a note on it: You can keep my rebate if you give me back my country! We are being bought cheap here, folks. I feel insulted. This stimulus pkg is merely a cover for a much larger corporate give-away & probably more tax cuts, too. It all adds to the deficit, which makes such a nice graduation gift for kids! And how will it be paid for? Just print more money! Correlation to preWWI/post WWII abound, except in Germany’s case their economic melt-down was confined to their own country. We will be exporting ours globally. That’s the american way!

Have you ever lost your date and time stamp?
When I switched over to Firefox, it disappeared and when I try to replace it, I end up giving all the thread I’ve written for the past 1 1/2 years the same date.
It’s maddening and I’m clueless how to fix it.
The thing about impeachment is, that, while it is emotionally fulfilling to see a bastard get his just desserts, and it is worthwhile sending a message that some activities will have consequences, it is the unescapable fact that it is easier by far to get a bastard out than to get someone who is NOT a bastard into office.
The mechanism we call our government is functioning according to its design. Replacing parts on the death machine will not help.
